Tickled Pink

Made this shape card with Create a Critter, Walk in My Garden, Freshly Picked, and George.  It is a thank you card for my sister and brother in law, who just hosted my husband and kids for a couple of vacation days.  I am sending it with a cute pottery barn pig towel for their 3 month old daughter.  I hope they like it, and know how "tickled pink" the kids were to meet their new cousin and stay in their fabulous home.  Thanks for looking!  The picture is tough....so sunny and bright today...even in the shade...and I'm not complaining.  :)

Say No To Pot

I gave my cricut a workout yesterday.  I cut 52 of each piece on here to make 52 3x3 calling cards.  I wanted a Rhode Island theme and I remembered while walking around Boston a couple of days ago, I saw some funny tee shirts at a vendor's stand.  I used the t-shirts as the inspiration of these cards.

Along with the cards, I made 16 magnets.  

They make me laugh.  Hope they do the same for you!

A Joy Sikes Scraplift

My friend Joy has the most amazing talent.  She makes the most gorgeous card I've ever laid eyes on.  Her blog address (although I'm sure you all know her) is www.joy-purttypaperz.blogspot.com.   Last night, I realized I needed a baptism card for today.   It was 8:30 pm.  I knew I wanted something with a cross, so I knew exactly where to look to find something gorgeous that I wouldn't have to think about.  I was still up until 11:30 putting it together, but if I'd stayed up all night, I'd have never come up with something this gorgeous.  Here is Joy's card.  Mine is a complete scraplift, just boyed up for my nephew's baptism today.

So Sweet - An Imagine Card

This card was inspired by a project I saw by Nadia H.  McConnell on the Cricut messageboard.  Nadia's blog address is http://www.withglitteringeyes.blogspot.com/.  You should check her out if you don't follow already.  Nadia does amazing things with paper people.  She glues and chops, and transforms flatness into multidimensional works of art.  She altered a figure from the Yummy Imagine cart that I loved, and I thought I'd give it a shot.  It's elementary, but for a first effort, I'm ok with it.  I am kind of disappointed that the actual piece of candy that is the shaped card is not more round.  And, I'm not loving the final result of everything put together.  The colors are not as vibrant as I hoped.  I made this for my neighbors, who gave me a beautiful rosary for a graduation gift.  I may make them another and give this to my daughter....she's 12 and she loves all things bling, so she loves it.  Thanks for visiting!

Baseball Treats

Made these for my son's baseball team's last game.  My husband coached, but he can't be at the last game, so this is a little "attaboy" for "his" kids.  Used sports mania for this one.

A VMI Tumbler

Ordered some vinyl from craftvinyl.com to make this tumbler for my daughter's boyfriend.  It's the VMI logo on one side and his name on the other.  Used varsity letter for this one.

A Paper Bouquet

Made this flower bouquet using my imagine for my son to take to his second grade teacher today.  Used the Mother's Day cart, Lori's Garden, and Elise.  The pot is what's really cool.....I painted a terracotta pot with blackboard paint and my son wrote his name and thank you on it in cute little second grader chicken scratch before we took it in today.
